  • 3D scanning (3D scanner ATOS Core 185 Essential 5M)
  • 3D printing (3D printer Ultimaker 2)

TERA Tehnopolis Ltd. offers a full service, from 3D scanning of objects to 3D printing of models. For more information, contact us via e-mail at ured@tera.hr, telephone 031/251-000 or in person at the Square of Ljudevit Gaj 6, Osijek, on business days from 8:00 to 16:00.

3D SCANNING

TERA 3D Laboratory for rapid prototyping includes a 3D ATOS Core 185 Essential 5M scanner. ATOS Core is specialised in 3D scanning small and medium objects with dimensions of up to 500 mm. The advantages of the ATOS system are blue light technology and GOM software with a stereo camera.

The 3D laboratory for rapid prototyping was funded under the TERA E-business Incubator, of the Operative Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020.

3D PRINTING

Entrepreneurs have to adjust quickly and incorporate new technologies due to the rapid development of new technologies and global market requirements.

In recent years, the technology of rapid prototyping with computer-aided design, CAD, has become an indispensable engineering tool.

Reduction of product development time due to unceasing innovation and market competition, greater product complexity, demand for real models to better assess the shape, dimensions, functionality control and ergonomics, are indicators that affected the rapid development of this technology and its implementation in numerous areas of engineering practice.

This technology applies to many activities:

  • Detailed model
  • Fast production
  • Cheap production
  • No deviation from digital records
  • Multiple copies
  • Multicolour
  • Fitting models
  • Virtual geometry
  • Fast production
  • Product testing through aesthetics, ergonomics and form
  • Authentic model facilitates observation and explanation
  • Facilitated learning through visualisation
  • Product testing through aesthetics, ergonomics and form
  • Geometry and product functionality upgrade
  • Conceptual modelling
  • Functional testing
  • MKE and thermal visualisation
  • CT and MRI visualisation of chemical and molecular compounds
  • Changes in prosthetics
  • Rapid prototyping and the making of metal parts by direct printing of the moulds
  • Ideal for complex object shapes
  • Making of large models by joining several parts
  • Time savings of production
  • Reduced moulding cost

TERA Tehnopolis offers a rapid prototyping service by physically printing an object in three dimensions with a 3D printer based on a three-dimensional volumetric image.

Three-dimensional printing, especially in colour, gives development engineers and designers an opportunity to get insight into the designing process, the possibility to emphasise parameters, early detection of errors and their quick and efficient correction.

3D printing reduces production time and increases the quality of models and prototypes.

Therefore, a 3D printer that can create objects of different properties and technicalities is of paramount importance.

TERA Tehnopolis owns an Ultimaker 2 3D printer. Ultimaker 2 is based on printing technology on ABS and PLA plastic with the possibility of using universal cartridges. Printing speed is 30 mm/s – 350 mm/s, printing volume is 23 x 22,5 x 20,5 cm.

Ultimaker 2 can print precise models with 0.02 mm height and supports Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems.
